Electric car racing is building up to an exciting sport. Much like in regular Formula 1, there are spectacular accidents in the e-races as well. For example, one of the company Devbot’s electric, driverless cars crashed at high speed on the 18th of February, before the “Formula e” race at Buenos Aires race course in Argentina.
Roborace and the other Devbot car managed to finish the race achieving a top speed of 113 mph.
Unfortunatetely, his counterpart (car that crashed), misjudged a corner and went full throttle and chipped the barrier. On the other hand, teams have increased their knowledge of their electric and driver less cars.
Driver-less cars are starting to appear in electric cars such as Tesla. But Google has already produced a petrol driven driver-less car. The taxi company Uber are starting to use their cars. The future in cars and motor sport will look very different. (Picture: Uber’s driver less car).
