The Grand Slam is the coolest title to win in Tennis. The itinerary consists of the Australian Open in mid January, the French Open in May and June, Wimbledon in June and July, and the US Open in August and September.
Each tournament is played over a period of two weeks. Novak Djokovic from Serbia, and Andy Murray from Scotland, nearly always come first these days. Djokovic normally wins them all. Murray lost the most resent tournament. Stan Wawrinka from Switzerland pushed him out of the tournament. Nadal has not been as good as we are used to lately, but has started to up his game again. It is tough. Many players are really good right now. The Tennis Grand Slam is a great tournament for the audience too. Next year, we think that Andy Murrey has a good chance to win at least the Wimbledon title.
As in every sport, equipment matters a lot in tennis. On the center court it is the choice of racket that get most of the attention. Murrey and Djokovic both play with rackets from the company Head. Some of the Newsnugget reporters play with smaller versions of the same racket.
-I have tried Murrey’s and Djakovic’s rackets and I prefer Murrey’s. The strings feel a bit harder, which gives more power to the hit, says one of them.
