The largest Ichthyosaur ever seen has been found. In a museum!
This aquatic reptile has been named the largest ever found. It has been hiding in plain sight in a German museum. It is a whopping 3.3 metres long.
The reason it is so unbelievable is that they are usually 2m long. Ichthyosaurs died out 89 million years ago so no-one has ever seen a live one.
It was found in the Lower Saxony State Museum, Hannover. It was identified by Professor Sven Sachs.
