A new £2 coin has been revealed to honor 75 years since the historic D-Day landings.
The royal mint – the company who produces coins – made the announcement earlier.
The D-Day landings happened in 1944 during WWII , it was the biggest invasion by sea in history and is a key date in the story of the Second World War.
The coin is inspired by military maps and represents the huge scale of the D-Day landings and what people call Operation Overlord.
Sadly, we will not be able to find the new coin at your local shop as it will not be in circulation but it will be available for purchase on the Royal Mint website.
The coin can be purchased in a special box and comes in four different colors.
The money from every D-Day coin will go to the Imperial War Museum to help them to continue their work on WWII.
