The commander of Kabul’s elite police unit has said the threat of attacks in the Afghan capital is worse than ever.
The security of the city is a key part of the US-led forces’ strategy for the country. But in the past month Taliban and Islamic State have increased attacks on civilians in their war against international forces and the country’s central government.
The fighting in Afghanistan has been going on for many years now. In 2009 Malala was shot in the head and neck while she sat with classmates on a school bus in Mingora, a city in the Swat valley. She survived and now lives in the UK.
