I was extremely lucky to attend the opening of a new gallery at the Science Museum on Tuesday night. It is called Wonderlab: the StatOil Gallery. The gallery is on the third floor and is massive. It has been designed for children aged from seven upwards. The lab cost six million pounds to build.
I really enjoyed listening to a talk about how the earth and moon orbit the sun. I also liked the slides and the sound pods. We spent several hours playing there. It took one year to be built. The Science Museum is hoping lots of parents and children will visit it.
New visitor Hayley Greatholder said: ‘I believe it’s a wonderful project because it lets you discover science in a fun and safe way.’Another visitor Colette Chapman also said: ‘I loved the slides the best. The whole gallery is amazing.’
