A man has spoken about the infamous occasion he snuck into Queen’s bedroom in an horrendous security breach.
According to his own account, the 9 July 1982 incident was Michael Fagin’s second attempted intrusion at Buckingham Palace. He was sad for people to hear that on the news. Fagin claims he entered the palace through an unlocked window on the roof and spent the next half-hour eating cheddar cheese and crackers and wandering around. He tripped several alarms, but they were faulty. He claims to have viewed royal portraits and rested for a while on the throne. Security have said that they could have checked the alarms and security better.
He says he doesn’t like giving interviews, but warms to telling his tale pretty quickly. People were shocked to hear this as this wasn’t his 1st it was his second!
Fagin says he shinnied up the drainpipe, startling a housemaid, who called security. When guards reached the scene, Fagan had disappeared, leading them to believe the housemaid was mistaken. How did he disappear? We do not know.
