A nine year old girl has recently become addicted to Fortnite and was found by her father in a puddle of wee. This was because she didn’t want to stop playing and she would rather wet herself than stop playing the video game.
Once the girl’s father found out about this, she then admitted that she had been staying up until 5am every morning playing the game. Because of this, she was falling asleep in class. After that, her parents were furious to find that their credit card had almost gone bankrupt because she had bought so many things on the game with real money instead of virtual money. Since then, the girl has received help from a rehabilitation clinic. The girl is gradually getting better.
This is just one example of a wider controversy with a cartoon gun game originally made in 2011 but which became hugely popular when the latest version – battle royale – came out in 2017.
There is an option to talk to people in your squad so you can you can protect yourself from cyber bullying. Also, you can report players who are cheating or being offensive. In battle royale there are numerous game modes including solo – a hundred all vs all and team terror – a 32 vs 32 player battle with npc (non player character) monsters who will attack anyone on any team.
Lots of youtubers have become famous and rich playing fortnite including Ninja, Lachlan, Ali-A and Lazar Beam. They make a living by playing fortnite.

More than 40 million people worldwide have downloaded Fortnite since it came out last year. A survey of 2,000 people said that 38% thought that Fortnite should be time restricted so that you can play for only 2 hours.
