The Tutsi Genocide of 1994 is commemorated every year in Rwanda from 7th to 13th April. During this period, all Rwandans help Tutsi Genocide survivors in different ways such as counselling them and helping them with practical activities.
People meet together during this week to discuss and understand the conversations organised by the Government and talk about Genocide history. The aim is to fight against genocide and its ideology.
Last Friday was the day of commemoration at school level in our sector. All sector schools meet together and remembered the learners and teachers killed during Tutsi’ s Genocide of 1994.
