Although you may not be worried about secondary school, many children in year 6 are (and some parents too). Let’s see what you could do to help yourself to get into the schools you want.
- Though you shouldn’t be massively worried about getting into a good secondary school, still work and try your best in your current school to be prepared
- Do extra curriculum activities to be more noticeable to schools. It can be good to compete in a sport, or play an instrument, for example
- Try your best in lessons
- And as a final piece of help, talk to your parents about it if you are worried. They have been through more than you and could have some good advice
Although it my seem absurd, the most important thing is to picture yourself at the school you want get in to! This will motivate your brain to work harder and try.
