Here they come. Freaky strangers scaring people from the dark and misty corners of both sides of the Atlantic. Who do they think they are, going round scaring and sometimes even attempting to kill innocent members of the public? As it’s getting closer to Halloween, what seemed to be a harmless joke at first, suddenly has turned into a serious matter for the police.
These creepy clowns are terrorizing all of America with many sightings of these guys with weapons running after cars jumping out of nowhere. If you are planning to dress up as a clown for Halloween: think again, as it has been made illegal. The idea has spread like a contagious disease and now there have been sightings in UK too.
Just how dangerous are these red-nosed freaks? Before this craze started, an actual “killer clown” struck: Marlene Warren stood in her house looking out of her window to see a clown with flowers and two balloons in his hands. When Mrs. Warren opened the garden door she was fatally shot. The clown then ran away to his unmarked car and left a very strange message on a balloon: “You are the best.”
Recently, three teenage boys were arrested for scaring drivers by running towards them and trying to open their car doors. Also around the same time, there was a sighting of two men with a machete (a huge knife) in their hands looking through a car window. If that doesn’t scare you I do not know what does!
The big question is, should we really be scared or is it a media hype? Should we perhaps not being fooled by custard filled trousers and manic smiles? Although the chances of encountering a clown are very minimal, should we take precautions? What are you going to go for?
